For those who are struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, or work-related trauma, a stable treatment program can make the difference between recovery and relapse. But putting their families and careers on hold to receive inpatient treatment is a disruption many people aren’t able to make. And some outpatient programs simply don’t provide the level of attention some patients need. Now available from EHN Outpatient Services, our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) provide effective, short-term treatment for substance addictions, mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma/PTSD. Offered in-person at a clinic location across Canada (where safety precautions permit) and virtually via EHN Online, the IOP therapeutic program consists of 8 weeks of intensive treatment, 9 hours of group and individual sessions per week, plus 10 months of aftercare to support ongoing recovery. Important psychoeducation uses the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT ), and Behavioural Activation Therapy (BA). We also offer an exclusive Healthy Minds Teen Program with specialized programming for those aged 14-18.

Sunshine Coast Health Centre is a private, licensed, residential addiction treatment facility for men. While other programs focus on abstinence or reducing harm, we believe that the recovery process needs to move beyond mere healing. Instead, we help our clients experience personal transformation and full integration into society. Our programs are based largely on the theory and practice of Meaning-Centered Therapy (MCT), developed by psychologist Dr. Paul T. P. Wong. Dr. Wong was heavily influenced by Viktor Frankl and used personal meaning as a way to organize different therapies such as existential psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and positive psychology into a unified therapeutic approach. We treat the four elements of what it means to be a human being - the physical, psychological, social and spiritual. Our residential alcohol & drug rehabilitation program follows a daily schedule of activities that focuses on long-term wellness and success. Combined, our 30-, 42-, 60-, and 90-day programs accept a maximum of 47 clients, allowing you to be on a first-name basis with staff and peers.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Treatment Centres
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a type of psychotherapy that helps you accept the difficulties that come with life. ACT is a form of mindfulness based therapy, theorizing that greater well-being can be attained by overcoming negative thoughts and feelings. Essentially, ACT looks at your character traits and behaviours to assist you in reducing avoidant coping styles. ACT also addresses your commitment to making changes, and what to do about it when you can't stick to your goals.

If you're looking for ACT therapy in Vancouver or for a Vancouver ACT treatment centre these professionals provide acceptance and commitment therapy, ACT group therapy, ACT therapy, and acceptance commitment therapy. They include ACT therapists, ACT psychologists, ACT psychotherapists and ACT counsellors.

Rehab in Vancouver

Clients who are looking for Drug Rehab in Vancouver or Alcohol Rehab in Vancouver can find help at a treatment center. The first step towards recovery usually requires clients to detox in Vancouver under medical supervision, and follow-up with a period of intensive therapy at the center.

INPATIENT or OUTPATIENT?

Residential inpatient treatment in Vancouver consists of 24-hour care at a live-in facility. Full treatment services, including medical and behavioral therapy, are provided all at one location.

Outpatient treatment programs in Vancouver provide flexibility to those who are unable to take time away from their regular lives, work or school. Programs typically meet at the clinic a couple of times every week for a few hours at a time.

Certain programs provide a combination of the in/out approach: Inpatient for medical stabilization, partial hospitalization for moderate cases, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics for follow-up. For instance, opiate abusers may find it helpful to begin their abstinence with a brief but intensive outpatient opiate drug detox in Vancouver.
