About
I am a Certified Music Therapist (MTA) and Registered Counselling Therapist - Candidate (RCT-C) working in the K’jipuktuk (Halifax) area. I provide counselling and music therapy for individuals and groups in the public sector and private practice. I specialize in addictions recovery, and with those impacted by addiction, depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, abuse, and the criminal justice system. My approach to therapy is anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and person-centered. I work collaboratively with clients to support their personal goals and well-being while considering the holistic, intersecting aspects at play in their lives.
Sessions with me include using music and/or verbal processing as therapeutic tools to creatively explore feelings, experiences, and challenges that may be present for you. I offer a compassionate presence to help deepen understanding of yourself and world, integrate insights, and connect with your unique strengths & resources for healing and personal growth.
I aim to meet my clients where they are in their life journey and work together to guide and mobilize chaos into positive empowered change. I offer a sliding scale and free first session as I understand there may be barriers to accessing therapy and the support that you deserve.
