Every person deals with unique challenges and there are times when we want or need help. Having worked with diverse groups of people in various settings (i.e. university counselling services, high school counselling services, and addiction rehabilitation centres) I have witnessed that people are resilient and capable of great things. Given an environment that is respectful and supportive even those who have felt stuck or hopeless can find their way. I offer a non judgemental space where you can explore your concerns, have the support you need and gain tools necessary to meet your goals.
I work with individuals to help reduce anxiety, stress and depression, to improve relationships, coping skills and general life satisfaction and offer support with major life transitions like parenting, changes in relationships and career, retirement or grief. I also work to help people deal with feelings of shame and improve self-esteem/self-compassion.
My strength-based therapeutic approach is integrative and relies heavily on client-centered and cognitive behavioural therapies. I work collaboratively with clients and tailor therapy to meet your needs. This work is a privilege and I look forward to possibly working with you!
