Hi there! I’m Willa - an individual and couples therapist with a focus on relationships, life transitions, and sex therapy. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the CRPO and I hold a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. I have over 10 years of experience in mental health settings across Canada and abroad — from doing frontline response to Canada's opioid crisis to working on a sexual assault response team to researching government mental health policies and academic palliative care research to now working in private practice as an individual and couples therapist.
Generally, I enjoy working with people who want to better understand themselves and design a life they don't need to escape from. Proper tending to the wounds you may be carrying and improving communication with your different parts and unconscious patterns can be one of the deepest ways to make real shifts and changes.
Clients describe me as warm, curious, pragmatic, and honest (I asked!). Grounded in psychodynamic therapy and parts work, I aim to create a shame-free therapeutic container where clients can be themselves and explore their thoughts, patterns, and desires in an honest way.
