I have been working in the mental health field for most of my adult life. I have worked alongside those with depression, anxiety, street-entrenched youth, veterans suffering from trauma, victims of sexual assault, and people struggling from addiction in all its forms. I have seen how the pain from the past can rob us from that which we hold most dear: our connection with our loved ones, pursuing a meaningful life, and finding a sense of peace, happiness, and fulfillment. Be it finding a place to grieve, mourning the past, challenging our beliefs and deeply held patterns, or meeting parts of oneself with compassion, I can help.
I use evidence-based approaches, such as CBT, IFS, and EFT. I can help you gain insight into yourself, offer a place to process deeply held emotions, and challenge the beliefs which may be perpetuating your hurt. Above all else, I approach therapy from a relational, client-centered perspective and will do my utmost to meet you with empathy, care and respect.
My goal is to provide a space that honours your lived experience with compassion so you can explore your concerns, gain insight, and move towards to a more fulfilling life. Know that it is a tremendous act of courage to ask for help and I look forward to hearing from you.
