Maritime born and raised, Ottawa has been home since 2004. I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) . Locally, I have worked in the mental health field since 2006 and opened my private practice in 2010. A specialization is working with men whom identify as survivors of sexual trauma and/or childhood sexual abuse. Additionally, I can help address maladaptive thought and behaviour patterns, anxiety and depression, anger management, and relational problems. Other areas in which I work include sexuality, men's issues, and LGBT concerns.
As a guide to help access your inner strength, wisdom, and compassion, I hope to help attain your goals and expectations for therapy. I wilI incorporate different therapeutic approaches, uniquely tailored, in an attempt to foster collaboration that will safely address your concerns while keeping you as expert of your experience in mind.

Invest in YOU: Manage Anxiety with Compassion
This 2-part psycho-educational group is for individuals seeking to manage their anxiety in an accepting and mindful way. You will learn tools from dialectical behaviour and cognitive-behavioural therapies in combination with somatic and compassion-focused practices. Fee for each part is $400 plus $87.50 for a 30-minute assessment and can be covered by most insurance plans. Group facilitators are Sonia Myre, MA, RP, CCC and Wesley Moore, MEd, RP, CCC, SEP.
