About
We live in a beautifully neurodiverse world. Yet this world is not always friendly to the neurodiverse. It can feel like it is all up to you to adapt and camouflage your differences to fit into a world that doesn't 'get' you. I will work with you to sort through issues related to identity, stigma and self-esteem, achieving your education and career goals, negotiating social, family and romantic relationships, exploring sex and gender identity, navigating school and academic environments, self-advocacy, and more. I also work with family members to help them understand and support you in living the life you want.
As a clinical social worker, I provide individual and family therapy for neurodivergent youth, adults, parents, and family members, including late-diagnosed, self-diagnosed or wondering, and LGBTIQ2S+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex, queer, questioning, two-spirit plus).
My strengths-based approach to neurodiversity comes from my personal as well as professional experience, as a mom, partner, friend, colleague, and teacher, to many people who are on the spectrum. I really look forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
