I worked for 17 years providing community based therapy/counselling as an Addictions Therapist with a premier mental health and addictions hospital. Recently I have been the Senior Clinician with a community based mental health services program. I offer personalized and confidential services with a non-judgemental, empathic, and supportive approach. Along with Addiction based services for individuals and their family members, I have worked extensively with parent-teen and family based conflict, relationships, domestic violence, trauma, anger management and conflict resolution, mental health (eg. anxiety, depression, grief/loss, OCD, stress, suicide) as well as school refusal and peer difficulties.

Offering In-Person therapy in Newmarket and Barrie, and Virtual/Phone sessions in Ontario! Trained in many areas of psychotherapy, for a variety of reasons, including anxiety, depression, stress, couple’s issues, self-esteem, addictions, and more, my goal is to treat you as the whole person, where we, as a team, decide what goals are best for you in each moment. We are complex beings, where biology, psychology, and support systems, all play an important and integral role in our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I am a registered Addictions and Mental Health Counsellor with years of experience treating clients individually, online and in groups. My primary focus has been supporting those experiencing mental health and addictions concerns, both behaviour and substance based. I have obtained extensive training and clinical supervision in providing Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and other evidence-based best practices.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist who has worked with individuals in different capacities since 2011. Using my calm and gentle nature, I have built a practice based on professionalism, trust, openness and authenticity, where clients can feel safe and accepted without judgement. My approach to psychotherapy is tailored to the needs of my clients. I am dedicated to helping those in need of mental health care, and I always enjoy meeting new people. I have earned an honours Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Laurentian University, as well as a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology with Yorkville University.

With almost 20 years of experience working in Simcoe County, I have developed a strong relationship with the people in this community. I have extensive training in the addiction field supporting those living with addictions and "significant others" who are vicariously impacted, and I am passionate about working with teens and young adults experiencing mental health challenges like anxiety, low mood, life transitions, and substance use. I incorporate a variety of evidence-based modalities to help individuals accomplish their goals and I strive to create a safe and compassionate experience building on individual's inherent strengths.
