On my journey of supporting those struggling with mental health, I have supported those who have struggled with anxiety and depression, BPD and mood disorders, as well as traumatic experiences such as motor vehicle accidents and death of loved ones. We live in a society that praises independence when we innately crave community, and sharing stories is big part of that. We are meant to learn from and inspire one another as we move along life's journey, and your stories are meant to be heard just like everyone else's.
I provide support through Biopsychosocial frameworks that aim to provide support to the whole person rather than just their struggles. No-one should ever be judged for the moments they've struggled through, but celebrated for finding a way to lift themselves. I focus on the story of how we got here and the possibilities of where we can go.
I believe we are all here for three things; to experience joy, to gain knowledge and to serve one another. Having this privilege to listen to other people's stories accomplishes all three for me. More important than listening to stories is sharing stories and yours is one of the most important to be shared. My door is open when you're ready!
