I am passionate about working with youth and young adults. I like to take a philosophical approach that targets the heart of emotional concerns. I believe that emotional well-being can be achieved through finding purpose and meaning in life. I enjoy helping my clients heal through building intimate connections, collaborating on finding meaningful activities, and addressing emotional challenges that may be holding them back from moving forward with their life.
I take an existential and client-centered approach to counselling, touching on narrative, CBT, attachment, and other theories. My aim is to offer gentle guidance in a safe compassionate space where clients feel heard, accepted, and understood.
I am a highly sensitive person with a history of depression in adolescence. I like to draw on my own experiences to connect and engage with clients in a warm and empathic way. Mental illness is so often stigmatized and misunderstood, so I feel it is important to self-identify as someone who has lived through it.
