With a decade of experience - I work with teenagers navigating anxiety, low mood, self-esteem struggles, identity, school stress, and big life transitions - and I love this age group. Adolescence is a lot .... bodies changing, friendships shifting, pressure from every direction, and the push-pull of wanting independence while still needing support. My job is to make therapy feel like a space where a teen can actually be honest, not performed.
I also work closely with parents! You don't have to choose between supporting your teen and getting support yourself. We can work together to find solutions for your family and learn about your parenting style. Parenting sessions are useful for you to release your stress, and find non-judgemental support. It's the hardest job in the world.
I am registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, on the Board of Directors for Peterborough Child & Family Centre's, an advisor for Health811 and Kids Help Phone. I am a member of the FNIM Advisory Committee for PVNCDSB, Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, and the Canadian Association for Play Therapy.
