About
I work primarily with teens and adults with a range of issues, including anxiety; depression; dissociation; gender questioning; challenges relating to trans identity; social and communication challenges, including ones relating to autism; life transitions such as the end of a relationship, becoming a parent, relocating; parenting challenges; grief; questions, concerns and a desire to learn about mental health concerns and disorders.
I listen attentively to clients, always working from a place of curiosity and non-judgement. I take a strengths-based approach, and use many of the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my work. I aim to provide a safe space that allows clients to come to their own conclusions about what they need and how to meet those needs.
Learning about clients' lives, concerns, history, thoughts and feelings is a huge privilege and I value every individual I work with. Humans spend so much time 'efforting' - trying to understand and support ourselves and others. I am moved by every client's plight and hope to offer a sanctuary in which they can move towards what really matters to them.
