Your family means everything to you, but parenting can feel overwhelming when your child is struggling emotionally or behaviourally. You may be watching them cope with anxiety, big emotions, loss, trauma, or difficult transitions and wondering how to help. Many parents quietly ask themselves, Am I doing this right? Sometimes our own past experiences can make parenting even harder. At the heart of it all, parents want the same thing: for their children to feel confident, connected, resilient, and hopeful about their future.

I provide psychological, psycho-educational and neuropsychological assessments for children, youth and adults. An assessment can be useful in order to understand the nature of an individual's learning needs, certain behaviours, and/or emotional challenges. It can provide specific diagnoses (e.g. ADHD, Specific Learning Disabilities, Anxiety), or simply help to identify a person's strengths and any weaknesses. Ultimately, the goal of an assessment is to make recommendations that will promote wellbeing and help an individual to be successful. In addition to assessments, I also offer some individual therapy and parenting support.

Coping skills and insight are helpful - but what about lasting, meaningful change that empowers you to get past your past and live a fulfilling life? When you're ready to be free from the experiences, beliefs, or habits that are keeping you stuck, let's talk. You might be feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the people you care about - including yourself. Whatever your struggle is, you don't have to go through it alone.

On the outside, things may look fine. You manage your responsibilities and get through the day. But internally, there may be a sense of tension—reactivity, irritability, or emotional overwhelm that feels difficult to understand or control. At times, you may find yourself responding in ways that don’t align with how you see yourself, particularly in close relationships.
These patterns are often not random. They tend to reflect earlier emotional and relational experiences that continue to shape how you feel, interpret situations, and respond to others.

It is my life goal to help people overcome adversity and live fulfilling, joyful lives. As a queer woman with lived experience in alternate relationships and familial arrangements, I seek to bring an inclusive, anti-oppressive and social justice lens to my practice. As a yoga instructor and practitioner, I bring a holistic and mindful approach to my work.
My primary approach is AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), which emphasizes 'undoing aloneness.' I deeply value the somatic and relational aspects of AEDP that help us to move through overwhelming emotion, stress, or stuckness that happen in our lives.

You might look completely fine to everyone around you, and still feel quietly exhausted, unsure, or angry on the inside.
Maybe you've learned to be accommodating, capable, and responsible — often to the point where you’re carrying far more than your share. You may overthink decisions, struggle to say no, replay conversations long after they’re over, or feel guilty for having needs at all. These patterns often get normalized rather than questioned.
If you’re constantly managing other people’s expectations, second-guessing yourself, or over-functioning, you are not alone. I've personally been there, too.
