Therapists in V5L
Has life become a bit too much? Are you starting to have regrets and/or questioning your ability to cope? You're not alone - specially in the political climate of our world right now. However, regaining some control over your life (and actions!) is not often too far out of reach.
Are you struggling to adapt to the life here in Canada; or life back here in Canada? Transitions are challenging, learning how to help our nervous system adapt to new environments is possible, it's just a new kind of workout for your brain and body.
Do you need a safe place to vent and just let steam off? Well, there's also space for that!

Hi there! I’m Marcus, a gay second-generation Chinese settler. As a student therapist under clinical supervision, I offer low-cost counselling starting at $30 a session.
My commitment to this work emerged from seeing how spiritual and cultural expectations can collide with queerness, how disconnection from community can affect one’s sense of self and belonging, and how identity, and systems of power shape our sense of self.
In my seven years of non-profit work, I’ve provided peer support to youth who survived childhood trauma, journeyed with folks who have ADHD, and offered care to low-income families.

Life can be extremely painful and difficult, especially when you don't have healthy relationships with people that you trust, or that understand you. Authentic connection to self and others is a fundamental need for humans, and without it we can feel even more alone, empty, depressed, anxious, or we can feel that life is meaningless. Not everyone we know is able to handle the weight of our struggles, and this can make it harder to reach out when support is needed. We also may be afraid to burden others with our problems, or we may feel that something is "wrong" with us if we seek help, causing us to suffer in silence.

Hello, I'm Jessica—a Registered Career Counsellor and Holistic Therapist. You might feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure what’s next. That’s where I come in.
Helping you untangle self-doubt, make sense of what’s no longer working, and figure out what is. Together, we look at your values, what you actually want, and what’s been getting in the way—so you can move forward with more clarity, confidence, and fulfillment.

Welcome, and so glad you are here! Hopefully sharing a little bit about me and how I work can help in determining whether my approach might be a good fit for you. I am a queer and neurodivergent ON and BC Registered Social Worker, and have experience in providing counselling support in a variety of community-based settings. I use an anti-oppressive and intersectional feminist lens in my work and strive to create affirming spaces that acknowledge the impacts of structural inequities and social injustice. I take an eclectic approach in blending a variety of evidence-based modalities to figure out what most aligns with you.

This work is about helping you connect to your Self, so you can navigate relationships authentically, and meet challenges compassionately and courageously. If you want to slow down, get curious, and listen deeply, come on in!
Our internal body wisdom is a source of information that speaks more than words. The patterns we hold and express reveal meaning and share a legacy of past experiences, often persisting long after they were necessary.
Real change is possible when ALL of you feels safe enough to be seen and supported, just as you are. In the relational space we build together, you will discover what you need to move forward.

I go beyond talk therapy to help my clients heal and grow from trauma, abuse, neglect, bullying, low self-esteem, and relationship issues. I use IFS (& IFIO), EMDR, and somatic approaches to help my clients feel more connected to themselves, to others, and to the life they want to live, while affirming neurodiversity and difference. I have over a decade of experience and love working with anyone who wants to heal, including fellow therapists and queer folks. I also welcome clients who practice ENM, engage in kink, seek support with psychedelic integration, or otherwise have lifestyles and experiences that fall outside 'the norm.'

Overthinking, people pleasing, navigating burnout, or presenting “fine on the outside” but overwhelmed inside can feel exhausting. I work with perfectionists, overachievers, caregivers, and anyone feeling stuck in old patterns or disconnected. My approach is direct, authentic, and trauma-informed. Collaboratively, we can untangle what’s happening beneath the surface, unlearn what isn’t yours, and update patterns that no longer serve you, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.

I support women who have been subjected to coercive control and narcissistic abuse in relationships. As an expert in the area of abuse of women, I understand the challenges that women face as they navigate difficult relationships and their aftermath, including confusion, grief, loss, anger, hopelessness and disregulation. The stress of divorce, family court, co-parenting with a controlling ex, and securing stability for your children can feel overwhelming. You may feel like your pain and struggles are misunderstood, and that the language to describe your experience is hard to find. Above all, you want to heal and reclaim your life.

Having been a client myself, I know that counselling can be enormously transformative and rewarding. At the same time, I also understand that it can require incredible courage, which is why I consider it an honour and a privilege to hold space for those with whom I work. My approach emphasizes nonjudgment, empathy, and respect for all clients, as well as their sense of safety and genuine connection in the room. Many of these folks are seeking support as they navigate issues related to relationships, interpersonal conflict, masculinity, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

As an adult, you appear capable, responsible, and high-functioning from the outside, but inside, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected. You may struggle with people-pleasing, anxiety, PTSD, poor boundaries, emotional reactivity, or difficulty feeling safe in relationships. You might overthink, feel on edge, shut down emotionally, or carry a deep sense that something is “wrong." Many of these challenges connect to childhood trauma, emotional neglect, or attachment wounds. You want to understand why some patterns keep repeating and learn how to feel calmer, more confident, and more connected—without having to relive the past
