Do you feel like you're carrying the weight of grief, anxiety, self sabotaging patterns or generational wounds? Are you showing up in your world feeling stuck, frustrated, or disconnected from yourself or others? What would it be like to thrive rather then just survive, to understand yourself deeply, to release what no longer serves you, and to reclaim a sense of trust and authenticity in your life? Real change begins with allowing yourselves to be known in a safe space, understanding the complexities of all your parts and allowing yourself to heal from the inside out.

I support children ages 5–12 who are struggling with big emotions, anxiety, behaviour challenges, or confidence. Families often come to me feeling unsure how to help their child or how to reconnect during difficult moments. Through play‑based therapy, child‑centred approaches, and supportive parent counselling, I create a safe space where kids feel understood and parents feel empowered. Together, we build trust, strengthen communication, and help families move forward with clarity and confidence.

Wellness is a complex combination of mental and physical health. You may be feeling vulnerable and needing to discuss intimate subjects that may be perceived as too shameful or traumatic to share with others. As an RN and therapist, I know that how our bodies work (or don’t) has a huge impact on our well-being Whether your mental health is impacting your physical health or vice versa, it can be difficult to find a therapist who understands both. Whether you are experiencing sexual challenges, perinatal mood shifts or difficulty moving through a trauma, I am here to believe you in your experience and support you in moving forward.

I offer supervision, somatic therapy, and psychedelic-assisted therapy for individuals on their journey through trauma and its effects. With a heartfelt dedication to trauma-informed care and ethical practices, I hope to create a welcoming space where both therapists and clients can explore the transformative healing potential of psychedelics, whether for self-discovery or within a medically supervised environment. As an experienced supervisor, mentoring therapists that are looking to integrate psychedelic therapy into their practice is a growing interest for so many people who are not getting the relief or reprieve they need.

Life is hard. Dealing with tragedy or betrayal can be devastating and leave us feeling lost and completely overwhelmed. You may be becoming "sick". This is a time when you are courageously seeking assistance. Becoming aware that what you are experiencing, although unique to you, is a reasonable and recoverable state is the first step.

You may be feeling overwhelmed, emotionally disconnected, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you—within yourself or your relationships. Communication may have broken down, trust may feel strained, or the same conflicts keep repeating. These struggles can arise in many kinds of relationships and life transitions and are common when Adult ADHD is part of the picture. A Way Forward starts with one honest conversation.

EMDR trauma therapist. Are you struggling with anxiety, low mood, anger, relationship conflict, or unhealthy coping patterns that leave you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected? Perhaps you find yourself stuck in cycles of emotional reactivity, avoidance, substance use, overeating, self-criticism, or difficulty communicating with the people you care about most. These patterns often develop as ways of coping with stress, pain, or past experiences—but over time, they can begin to impact our relationships, sense of self, and overall well-being.

I treat trauma - childhood, shock (eg. accidents, medical) and relational (eg. betrayal, bullying) utilizing IFS, EMDR and Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (PAT). These models are experiential, not "talk therapy". I also offer Clinical Supervision. I have additional training in treating those suffering and addiction, their family members and adult children of alcoholics. Often, people impacted by addiction - their own or someone else's - carry the heavy burdens of shame, anxiety, low self-esteem and other extremely painful legacies. If you are ready to dive into the roots of your distress, these modalities may be a fit for you.

Does everyone comment on how 'calm' or 'together' you seem? But does slowing down feel uncomfy? Does it feel like your mind runs has 64 tabs open? Anxiety buzzes through your chest, panic strikes without warning, intrusive thoughts and urges pulls you into exhausting loops, and this can get in the way of living, driving, the time before work starts, or just being able to watch a show. You don’t need more willpower - you have plenty of that, you need understanding, practical tools, and support that truly fits you. You want to feel calm in your body, trust your thoughts, and move through life with confidence and ease.

You are thoughtful, sensitive, and self-aware. You tend to be the one others rely on. From the outside things look fine, yet inside you feel exhausted. You feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down. Despite insight, you can’t seem to find resolution. You know you have a choice: keep going and risk further disconnection from yourself or turn towards your inner world and lean into your own becoming. I want you (re)discover yourself. I want you to feel confident that you know who you are and what you stand for. I want you to stop sacrificing yourself so that you can feel alive! You are not broken; it's time for something new to emerge.

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

Most Counsellors and Psychotherapists listed in the directory are certified by one of the main professional associations, mainly the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and will have a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) designation with their name. Social Workers listed in the directory must be registered members of the college specific to their province. To be listed in the directory, Psychologists must be registered with the psychological college specific to their province or territory.

Providers whose professional membership or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Given the considerable variation in professional regulation and prerequisites across Canadian provinces, some providers may possess significant professional qualifications without necessarily holding professional memberships or being obliged to acquire them. As a result, they may be selectively included without the "Verified" seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counsellor?

Psychologists, counsellors, psychotherapists and social workers can all provide counselling or talking therapy and have credentials and supervised, practical experience that enable them to do so in Canada.

Psychologists have a master's and/or doctoral degree and have passed both written and oral exams. Psychologists are able to complete mental health assessments and provide diagnostic information to clients as well as provide counselling therapy or psychotherapy. Counsellors and psychotherapists are expected to have a master's or doctoral degree in counselling psychology, social work, or a related mental health discipline and certification by a professional association, such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Registered Social Workers possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work and where possible must be licensed or certified by the provincial government and/or regulatory college.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, the cost of a therapy session in Canada could be between $100 and $200. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

If you are struggling to access therapy due to budget constraints, you could also consider public funded mental health services. Some types of outpatient mental health services are covered by Medicare, provided these are performed by a licensed mental health professional in the provinces or territory you reside in and who accepts the assignment.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postal code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Professionals licensed by regulatory colleges and those certified by associations such as the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association are obligated to uphold client confidentiality unless there is a legal reason that requires them to disclose information. Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship and only under specific circumstances, such as when there is the potential or known harm to the client or others, or a court order, will a therapist be obligated to break the agreement. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed during the initial consultation.
