Living an examined life is not easy but the journey of understanding oneself is incredibly rewarding. If you find yourself repeating unhelpful patterns or struggling to work through emotions, then you've come to the right person. Perhaps you've experienced trauma or difficult relationships, or maybe you are looking for more out of your life and can't seem to find your way. Whether you're navigating personal relationships, learning to love yourself more fully, or trying to make sense of your own mental health, I can help. "Troubled? Then stay with me, for I am not." - Hafez

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and am located in the community of Pitt Meadows. I provide counselling for individuals experiencing a wide range of personal challenges. Challenges that include stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Sometimes people need the ability to express their real feelings about such difficulties, and I endeavor to provide those I work with the space to to do so, while also exploring ways to better cope with and even resolve their problems.

I am in the business of helping people become themselves. In other words, I think that every person has a unique and beautiful core self that holds the blueprint for a deeply fulfilling and meaningful life. However, life can be painful and sometimes we need to move away from who we are in order to survive. It is my passion and joy to meet people in these places, work towards understanding our defenses, and together move towards whatever lies beneath. I’m honoured that you would consider inviting me to join you in this journey. I consider it a sacred privilege to discover what it means to live fully and freely.

For many of us in the LGBTQ2S+ family, we carry shame, loneliness, and anxiety beneath our pride parades. We have lost communities that provided meaning to us, whether families or faith communities. We internalized messages that we are wrong, broken, or unloveable. Sometimes we mask these negative feelings with a big personality, and sometimes we isolate and hide ourselves from others. This leaves us vulnerable when crises occur. Reaching out for support is the first step towards feeling seen, understood, and connected to meaningful relationships.

Not all Binges are a Choice. The exact cause of BED is unknown, but chemicals in the brain, family history and certain life experiences may play a role in Binge Eating Disorder. BED often begins in the late teens or early 20s. BED affects slightly more women than men. About 40% of those with BED are male. I believe we “know” when our eating behavior is off and that dieting will not resolve the underlying anxiety. There is help, I’ve been there.
