A person’s intimate partner can be one of their greatest sources for pleasure, security, and meaning in life. In such relationships it is NOT normal (or acceptable) to feel isolated, controlled, or demeaned. If this is your experience, I can help. My approach strikes a balance between processing betrayals and regrettable incidents from the past, and ritualising effective practices for building trust, friendship, understanding, and intimacy in the present. I start with a 90-minute assessment, give practical and straight-forward direction, and allow space for each person’s story to unfold.
Using a person-centred approach, I teach easy-to-use tools for managing conflict, achieving compromise, and building trust. I facilitate discussions that address emotional injuries like infidelity, betrayal, and trauma. As well, I impart best practices within relationships to help couples identify and remedy dysfunctional behaviours.
I provide structured, in-person and online, 90-minute sessions to couples who have the time for, and commitment to, the journey of reclaiming their relationship. It is my hope that our work together will equip you with the knowledge and resources you need to feel confident in leaving therapy, and maintain your relationships for years to come.
