If you're feeling overwhelmed, burnt out, or uncertain about managing life's challenges, you might wonder whether it's possible to find peace during these difficult moments. I work with individuals around various concerns including (but not limited to) grief, challenging family dynamics, relationship issues, cancer, and depression and anxiety. Within these dynamics, I have a particular focus in working with first- and second-generation immigrants of East Asian backgrounds. I believe it is possible to emerge on the other side of challenges we're facing now—empowered to live more authentically to who you are and who you want to be.

Growing up between cultures and family expectations can leave you feeling like you don’t fully belong anywhere. Maybe you had parents who were strict or emotionally distant, and you learned to silence your own needs. As adults, you may find it hard to speak up or stay connected to your emotions, especially while navigating loneliness, burnout, heartbreak, or grief. Many of the clients I work with are people of colour or children of immigrants who know what it’s like to carry unspoken relational trauma. They come to therapy feeling anxious, lonely, and unsure of how to build healthy relationships.

I think of therapy as not only focusing on the “black dots” on a paper—the struggles, stress, or places where we feel stuck, but also gently exploring the space on the paper that often goes unnoticed. We can together find ways to cope with the “black dots” in your life, while also making space to notice what is already there but unseen—your strengths, inner resources, resilience, and parts of yourself you may not yet be fully aware of. My approach is about holding both realities: acknowledging what feels heavy and difficult, while also helping you reconnect with what supports you and allows you to move forward with more clarity.

To the outside world, you are thriving—a driven, successful professional who always has it together. But on the inside, you are silently struggling to keep all the plates spinning. You are ambitious and capable, yet perhaps teetering on the edge of burnout. There’s a constant pressure and its getting exhausting, and you’re wondering how much longer you can keep up your usual pace and its leaving you feeling disconnected from yourself. You need a space where you don't have to perform or meet everyone else's expectations—a place, a relief from the overwhelm and navigate your life without sacrificing your inner peace.
