I have been working with children, adolescents, adults and athletes for over thirty years as a Clinical Psychologist in the Montreal area and extensive experience helping individuals with issues such as anxiety, depression, personal and family difficulties, and performance-related issues in athletes. My basic approach is pragmatic in that I help individuals develop a better understanding of the reasons that are responsible for feeling poorly, and more importantly, to develop strategies that will have a long-lasting, positive effect.
Regardless of what the issues are , the chances of success are directly related to how the individual feels while in therapy. I stress the creation of a warm, nurturing environment in which to work. I firlmy believe that self-esteem and confidence-building are essential elements of the change process.
I also work with amateur and professional athletes to help them with their mental fitness to help them acheive the best results possible in their sport.
