An estimated 1 in 5 moms and 1 in 10 dads experience postpartum depression, making it the number 1 obstetrical complication. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders do not discriminate. They can happen to anyone! They often go undetected and, sadly, untreated. It doesn't have to be this way. There is no shame in seeking treatment. As a neonatal nurse with experience in NICU, obstetrics and pediatrics and through the lens of personal experience, I am very familiar with the significant gaps in perinatal mental health services in Ontario. I am passionate about perinatal wellness and look forward to supporting you on your journey!
I am certified in perinatal mental health (Postpartum Support International), Birth and Reproductive Trauma, Perinatal Grief and Loss and Relational Cultural Therapy (Canadian perinatal mental health trainings). I offer counselling and psychotherapy to the perinatal population.
Are you looking for someone to hold space for you to share your story? Coping strategies to help you through the often challenging transition to parenthood? A safe space to process your grief? It would be my honour to walk alongside you as you turn your compassion inward and give yourself the gift of self care.
