I work with adults and youth 16+ experiencing challenges including: anxiety, depression, low self esteem, gender, sexuality and queer issues, single event and childhood trauma. My approach is warm, collaborative, honest and empathic. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important determinant of success in therapy, and urge therapy-seekers to take time choosing a practitioner that they feel safe and seen by. My practice is informed by my feminist, anti-oppressive values, and lived experiences as a queer woman.
My therapeutic framework is deeply rooted in attachment theory and informed by polyvagal theory. I incorporate mindfulness and somatic strategies to foster awareness and connection between the body and mind in the present moment. I am trained in. and incorporate multiple evidence based therapies in my practice including: CBT, DBT, ACT and EMDR.
