At my practice, I extend a warm and understanding hand to individuals who are grappling with a wide spectrum of concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, chronic illness, depression, adolescent emotional and behavioral difficulties, pregnancy and postpartum mental wellness, self-injurious behavior, sleep issues, stress management, coping strategies, motor vehicle accidents, and trauma. With over 25 years experience, I work with children, teens, families and adults who are facing a range of mental health and developmental concerns. My work has included clients coping with depression, anxiety, managing grief, trauma, eating disorders, OCD, behavioural problems, relationship concerns, parenting issues, stress, and the full range of developmental and learning isues (autism, ADHD, LD's, intellectual disabilities, language disorders). Several clients are also members of the LGBT2SQ+ community.

I believe that we're at our strongest when we have meaningful, supportive connections in our lives. My focus is on developing these types of connections with my clients - ones where they feel genuinely cared for, safe, and supported in their journey towards feeling more fulfilled in their lives. Our assessment and therapy services are conducted by an experienced team of clinicians who joined Fleming Vigna Balmer after gaining many years of valuable experience in the public sector; for example, working in hospitals, universities, rehabilitation centres, social service agencies, and community-based clinics. As a team, we are able to offer a rich, experience-based range of clinical services. All of our clinicians are psychologists or psychological associates registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. This means we are independent practitioners licenced to assess, diagnose, and treat the full range of psychological disorders ranging from problems in living to serious mental health issues. In addition, we are consulting psychologists to the pilot recruitment programmes of a number of airlines including Air Canada, Jazz Aviation LP, and Sky Regional Airlines. At Fleming Vigna Balmer services are provided in English, French, Italian, Vietnamese, and Afrikaans.

I am a licensed clinical and school psychologist with over 13 years experience working with children, teens, and their parents. I provide treatment for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, oppositional behaviour, emotional regulation, grief, trauma, social skills, and relationship difficulties. I use different modalities as needed, including CBT, mindfulness, interpersonal, and emotion focused therapies. I value caregiver involvement , and offer parent/caregiver support for challenging issues.

I would be most helpful to clients who may be struggling at school (K-university), have ADHD or symptoms of inattention/hyperactivity/impulsivity, deal with emotional and behavioural disturbance, suicidal thoughts, or self-harm, have social interaction difficulties, deal with low self-esteem, have chronic illnesses or pains (this only for up to 18 years old), or struggle with adjustment to a new situation, whether it is a regular stage of life (e.g., moving out of house to a university, parenthood) or tragic life changes (e.g., grief, loss of loved ones). Consultation with schools is my specialty as well.
