About
In over thirty years working as a psychologist, I have become convinced that the most effective way to help others is through a collaborative approach. When the client and therapist work together to find solutions, the emphasis is placed on the client’s individual perspective and the strengths and successes they have already achieved. At the core of therapy, I believe, is a non-judgemental and compassionate view of how everyone’s personal journey involves overcoming suffering and moving towards self-acceptance, empowerment and emotional well- being.
My career has allowed me to work with a wide variety of clients, including couples, families, teens and children. I have extensive experience working with anxiety and depression; including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Agoraphobia. A central focus of the therapeutic journey involves working with fear; which is often experienced as anxiety or anger.
My primary goal is to listen to you and help you choose your wisest options; drawing on your own values, beliefs and goals. I do not have answers to your specific challenges but I do have a profound optimism that, by working together, your wisdom will become more apparent and you will choose a path that will bring you to whatever goal you want to realize.
