My life includes first hand experience living as a child of a father with Substance Use Disorder. I have been through a continuing journey of recovery and have recently upgraded my understanding by studying Addictions and Community Services at CDI college.
I am a former firefighter and through PTSD treatment have gained the understanding of the connection between trauma and Substance Use Disorder. My work on the streets of Fredericton and other cities with people living rough helps me to understand some of how family and friends can help loved ones.
