I work with children, teens and adults. I help people from these age groups, and all socio-economic backgrounds deal with stress, social skills challenges, depression, anxiety, trauma and communication difficulties. I am nearly completed all the coursework for my Play Therapy Certification and Certification as a Sand Tray Specialist. I love working with children and parent-child dyads to help repair and rebuild relationship. My adult clients typically say I provide a calming and steadying presence.. The questions I ask help them to sort out life difficulties in a successful way.
I am well into my training with Emotionally Focused Therapy for helping individuals with mood, relationship, and stress management challenges. All to often our emotions negatively impact our decisions. I can often help my clients reduce their emotional reactivity. I have advanced training in research based Play Therapy and Sandtray Therapy.
Many of my clients tell me that through my supportive listening style, asking timely questions, challenging them as needed and providing honest feedback, they are able to work their way through many different mental health and interpersonal challenges with success.
