About
I am a Métis professional art therapist and strong cultural advocate. Working from an Indigenous and Relational approach, I align with my clients to create safe and sacred space for healing and growth. My art therapy practice is unique, as I integrate culture into sessions whenever possible, such as smudging and attending ceremony. I have a particular interest in working with Indigenous peoples with presenting issues such as complex trauma, loss of culture, and mental health obstacles.
In my art therapy practice, I offer individual sessions, group art therapy, community workshops, and team builders.
You do not have to be an artist to benefit from art therapy. In art therapy, the emphasis is placed on the process and self expression, not the final product. It can also be a good option for those who do not have words to express their experience in the world. Free to reach out if you believe art therapy with Sage and Cedar will be a good fit for you.
