I believe in empowerment, insight and healing, and I deeply value your personal story. I would love to help you to let go of the negatives that may be holding you back from achieving greater peace and fulfillment in your life. There is a lot that you CAN do to make your own life healthier and happier! Together, we will look back, plan ahead, and, most importantly, figure out how to live now. I have been a practicing therapist since 2004; with youth in a high school setting for 11 years, and currently working with individuals, couples and families within a private practice context.
I have experience working with First Nations individuals, youth in care, individuals living in northern communities, trauma survivors, couples and families, as well as victims of crime. I have extensive experience in conducting suicide risk assessments, and working with appropriate referral sources in order to best assist clients who are in crisis.
One of my passions is to work with people who are marginalized in some way, whether that be relative to their gender, sexuality, race, socio-economic status, mental health or age. I strongly believe in acting as an advocate for social justice and the movement toward positive change within systems.
