Tara Connolly is a counselor and consultant with over 20 years experience working with people with disabilities in a diversity of settings. Her areas of expertise related to ASD include: supporting transitions, building supportive environments through evidence based practice, mental health and wellness concerns for adults with ASD and strategies for success in adult life. Tara has provided consulting and training related to ASD at the local, provincial and national level. She has worked as a teacher, ASD Consultant with the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, ASD Content Expert with the Public Health Agency of Canada, and as a Disabilities Counsellor with Algonquin College.
In her counselling practice, Tara has supported adults and youth on the spectrum for more than 15 years. She specializes in supporting transitions to post secondary, managing work life, strategies and empowerment for neurodiverse individuals, issues for women on the spectrum, gender identity, and aging on the spectrum.
