I believe that therapy should be sometimes fun, sometimes uncomfortable, and always rewarding. I adapt my therapy approach to your specific needs, with a focus on making sure that you feel the payoff for your hard work. Maybe you feel like you're not in control of your emotions, or you're unable to explore more meaningful parts of your life because of fear or past experiences. We can work towards acceptance and building a sense of control. I can help to make sense of your experiences and better understand yourself, all while working on feeling better in the process.

We can begin by discovering what matters most to you. Even in profound loss, or trauma, it is possible to come to a place of growth and change. Meaningful change can emerge in relation to how we feel toward ourselves, our physical being, and in our interactions with others. The journey starts with creative discovery and self-compassion.

Relationships! Relationships are at the heart of the human experience. Relationships hold the potential for both ecstasy and hell. Unfortunately for most people, the second possibility often becomes reality. Why? One of the common downfalls in relationships is forgetting 'We are a mirror unto one another.' Relationships are first and foremost a means to bring light to our unconscious beliefs, patterns, and conditioning. If I fall prey to the illusion that the other is separate from me, and end up seeing them as the aggressor or the victim, I will either project causation on my partner or feel powerless in the relationship.

Hey there! You've probably been searching for the "right fit" on this website for a while now and I'm likely one of 10+ tabs you have open! I'll also bet you're trying to make sense of all these different therapy acronyms (e.g., ACT, EFT, EMDR) and may start feeling discouraged. If that's the case, I might be able to help. I’m a doctoral-trained registered psychologist with CPA-accredited graduate and residency training, which is a complicated way of saying I’ve been supervised by 20 psychologists and trained at over 10 public health clinics. I've learned to make therapy make sense and, most importantly, make it work.

I work with clients and their personal challenges with care, warmth, compassion, and curiosity. We explore the barriers that hold you back from having the life you desire. My focus is to guide you towards a deeper level of change. We do this by exploring the patterns keeping you stuck, beliefs that limit you, and thoughts that cause you distress. Often these patterns are rooted in the past due to early attachment, developmental, relational and shock trauma. Processing these experiences in a safe therapeutic relationship, allows us to heal the past and move to a place of authenticity, integrity, and satisfaction in our lives.
