The people I work with are experts in their own lives yet they feel misaligned. You may be noticing that a version of yourself that once worked no longer fits, and you want to feel good about who you are. My work is grounded in a narrative approach, helping clients make sense of patterns, past experiences, and turning points. As a queer, mixed-race therapist, I understand the importance of a safe space for you to be your authentic self in all aspects of identity. It's a space to navigate slowly and explore what feels meaningful for you right now in the story of you while navigating the systems in your life.

Do you struggle in relationships? Does it feel like no matter what you do, you can’t create the kinds of relationships that you want? Perhaps you even struggle in your relationship with yourself.

Life transitions and expectations can be overwhelming. Maybe you are wearing many hats and feel like you've lost yourself balancing everyone else's needs. Or perhaps the losses you have faced are so heavy that it feels almost impossible to take the next step. I have over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families from diverse backgrounds who face challenges with relationships, grief or parenting. My experience includes supporting first and second-generation immigrants and mixed-raced individuals from a cross-cultural lens that addresses Identity, belonging, and intergenerational healing.

Most of us have a sense of the reasons for our difficulties yet we still struggle to work through those issues, understand how they all fit together, and make lasting changes. I aim to help those wanting to move forward in life unhindered by anxiety, trauma, depression, and relationship difficulties by helping them to find self compassion and gain insight into their interpersonal patterns.

I work with children, teens, adults and couples facing life transitions, coping problems or mental health concerns. Depression and anxiety is very common, but I also work with loss, health concerns and family problems. Therapy is about change, but it is not about changing who we are. The person we are meant to be has been here all along. Sometimes we need help to reconnect. I work with my clients to explore patterns of behavior and thought that can keep us in small and narrow places, and to reconnect to our wiser, balanced and more joyful self.

Congratulations, you’ve taken the first step towards a better life! I’m so proud of you. My work caters to people that feel uncertain about working with traditional therapists; like 2SLGBTQ+, Neurodivergent/ADHD/ASD, and/or practising Poly/ENM/Kink. Therapy is hard enough without feeling like you need to justify yourself! No matter who you are or what you’re struggling with, you deserve a safe place to heal, explore, and grow. I work with all kinds of adults as individuals or in couples/relationships, offering sessions online and in-person at DiveThru’s Whyte ave studio, from Sunday to Wednesday (9am-3pm) and Thursday (3pm-7pm).

Are you experiencing burn out, chronic stress, anxiety, or depression? Talking to a psychologist can help. It is common to feel unsure when taking the first step towards working on your mental health. I aspire to ease any uncertainty by compassionately supporting my clients through any concern they wish to explore in our sessions. In my experience, each client’s story is unique. Once I gain an understanding of your individual preferences, strengths, and goals, I will customize an approach drawing on my experience with evidence-based practices to support you in your circumstances.

Men, I can see all the pressure you are under. Maybe you’re avoiding conflict with your partner because it seems like anything you say is wrong. Maybe the stress and shut down are becoming familiar patterns. You worry about your marriage, relationship with your kids, and your work performance. There’s so much overwhelm from all the competing demands in life. You need a place where you can find solutions for the frustration, anger, and numbness. You don't want to just complain about your problems; because you know that just talking about it, won't change anything. You want specific tools, techniques, and exercises that would work.

Society used to look at mental health issues as something to be ashamed of, but we don't have to any more. Mental health, like physical health, is something that absolutely everyone must work at to feel good. It's rewarding work, but it isn't always easy. Traumatic events or even just daily struggles can sometimes lead to addictions, poor relationships with others, or strong feelings of disconnection and worthlessness. The resources we need to stay balanced, to grow, and to feel whole are within each of us, but sometimes we have trouble finding them on our own.
