I operate a boutique psychology practice specializing in psychoeducational and psychological assessments for youth and adults attending primary, secondary, and post-secondary schools. Clients seek my services when they have questions about their learning, cognitive, academic, and psychological functioning. A comprehensive assessment paints a diagnostic picture of development which in turn informs interventions, strategies, and accommodations to promote growth, capitalize on strengths, and reduce barriers to success.

I recognize that significant positive change requires a shift in how we think, feel, and relate to ourselves and others. If you're seeking a way to thrive rather than to just survive, my integrative approach helps clients who may feel stuck in life or overwhelmed, lacking meaning or purpose, dealing with past hurts and traumas, or simply wanting to live their full potential.

Are you curious to learn more about you and the parts at work that are either shaping you or getting in the way of the person you are trying to become? Do you sometimes feel stuck due to old patterns of behaviour or reactions that are no longer servicing you? In my experience a lot can be learned from taking the time to explore and get to know the person you are as a result of the many experiences you have had in your life. This can lead to the opportunity to reevaluate if all these parts, behaviours or reactions are still needed or if there is an opportunity to renegotiate the role they are playing in your life.

Well hello friend! I’m so happy you’re here! Let’s get to know each other. I love contrast, and feel best when I can embrace all of the pieces that make me who I am. Some of my favourite things: glitter and dirt, bare feet and high heels, nature and pizza, poetry and pushups, intentional practice and fun - because I believe we’re here to experience life, and to learn to feel it all out.

I favor a laid-back approach to counseling. You won’t find yourself sitting on a couch in a cold room while I psychoanalyze you. Instead, we can start with a brief meditation to help you ease into a more peaceful, grounded space. We can let your favorite album hum in the background. Or, we can take a walk outside. I want to share a more relaxed version of reality with you, where you feel free to explore your concerns comfortably, with clarity and confidence. I want to offer a space where you can feel real. After all, I can't expect you to be real with me if I'm not real with you, right?

How can I find a therapist in T2E?
Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or postcode; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or postcode into the search bar.

Is online therapy a good option?
Therapy conducted online or over the phone can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your postcode.
What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?
Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In Canada, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.
What type of therapist is right for me?
Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist, psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.
Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?
The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors. Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.
What type of therapy is right for me?
The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.
Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?
Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.
How much does therapy cost?
Some forms of mental health treatment (for example, seeing a psychiatrist, or seeing a psychologist in a government-funded hospital) are free under provincial health plans. Canadians who seek private counseling can typically expect to pay an average of $150 per session, although the actual price generally ranges between $100 and $300 per session, depending on their location and the type of provider they select. Workplace benefits or private insurance plans often provide an annual counselling allowance, and some therapists offer sliding scale fees to clients who cannot pay full price.
