While he is trained to work with clients who have a range of problems, he specializes in helping those with trauma, depression, anxiety, social anxiety, OCD, schizophrenia, phobias, and substance use disorders. Dr. Anderson's primary therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but he also incorporates elements of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) when appropriate. He works with adults and adolescents (16 years and older) in a client-centered, trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and humanistic manner.
Dr. Anderson's journey began at Mount Saint Vincent University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons). He then completed his doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at Dalhousie University. He is now a candidate registered psychologist with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.
