Living with chronic illness, disability, or neurodivergence is hard. Getting through the overwhelm of everyday life feels impossible. You're starting to feel like all you think about is your condition and everything it has taken away from you - work, hobbies, sleep, relationships. Your family and friends don’t get it. They try to help and probably mean well, but sometimes the dismissive way they say things makes you feel worse. You try to hide your symptoms to seem “normal” but inside, you feel like you might break.
My clients come to me feeling this same way. I offer a safe place to talk about all the thoughts going through your head (even the scary ones), vent about your symptoms, dream of a life beyond masking and burnout, or strategize about how to cope with your struggles and have more good days than bad.
I'm Kelly, a counsellor with a passion for providing non-pathologizing and anti-oppressive therapy that is disability, neurodivergence, and LGBTQ2SIA+ affirming. I practice from a trauma informed, inclusive, sex positive and fat liberation lens. I take pride in creating a space that is safe and welcoming and we look forward to meeting you!
