I work with adults and couples, and strive to empower clients so that they may reach their goals. My training was grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy, and I continue to study and incorporate other theoretical frameworks including mindfulness-based therapy, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and emotion focused therapy. I tailor my treatment approach based on presenting concerns and client preference.
I work with a variety of client concerns such as mood difficulties (anxiety and depression), adjustment problems, grief, relationship difficulties, lifestyle change, and low self-esteem. I’m interested in the emotional impacts of dieting and diet culture, and helping clients to develop more peaceful relationships with food and their bodies.
