Susy has a Masters in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and Bachelor of Professional Arts Human Services (BPA-HSRV) degree with a concentration in Educational Psychology. She is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) as well as a Licensed Counselling Therapist – Candidate (LCT-C), governed in the province of New Brunswick by the College of Counselling Therapists of New-Brunswick. Susy also completed the Nursing program at CEGEP John Abbott in Montreal where she attain Registered Nurse (RN) training and experience in a wide range of RN specialty areas.
Utilizing an Integrative Holistic Therapy (IHT) approach, I work with individuals from a trauma-informed lens and person-centered perspective that considers the unique needs of each individual, including emotional, behavioral, cognitive, spiritual, and physiological.
IHT uses a range of techniques, including Narrative Therapy, ACT, CBT, Existential Therapy, and MBCT to name a few. The space I hold in the therapy room is to assist the client through their unique self-discovery and healing process. Therefore, I emphasize the importance of the client attaining and retaining empowerment in the therapy space.
