I’m a non-binary Indian immigrant and my practice focuses on working with queer, PoC & neurodivergent people. I’m interested in supporting issues related to navigating identitie(s), systemic barriers and inter-generational traumas. As a person on the autism spectrum, I also have lived experiences and specialized interests in helping other neurodivergent (ie. ASD, ADHD) people moving through the mental health system, whilst also living authentically.
I am trained in Art Therapy which is ideal for people who have a hard time talking about their experiences and feeling in a safe way. I also practice from a strength based- Phenomenological approach, with some ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) influence.
A lot of the population I work with has been historically and systematically harmed by the field of psychology. My aim in my practice is to decolonize and repair the relationship between marginalized communities and therapy. It takes a lot of courage to be vulnerable, and I aim to be vulnerable in return. For me, true healing is in human connection.
