I have worked in the area of psychotherapy for several years and have a variety of experience including research, teaching, supervision and psychotherapy. As a registered psychotherapist, I enjoy providing authentic, compassionate, challenging and insightful support as I journey alongside my clients through the many challenges they face. I consider it an honour to be invited to walk with people as they courageously face life's past, present and future difficulties. I have both personal and professional experience working with CAF, Veterans and their family members.
My primary work is with individual adults and couples; counselling a variety of issues including relationships, divorce/separation, anxiety, depression, postpartum anxiety and depression, work place stress, self esteem, grief and loss and a variety of other life transitional issues. The modalities I use are CBT, Solution Focused & Person Centred.
I understand that our past has influenced our present but it need not dictate our future. Our life experiences are building blocks for who we are today and can be effective tools in creating who we aspire to be tomorrow. With the right tools, empathic support and personal determination we can find healing, make lasting change and live the life we desire.
