I am a member of the Kahkewistahaw First Nation.I have extensive experience working with a diverse population from diverse racial backgrounds. I have several years of experience working with children, families and individuals who have experienced interpersonal trauma and disruption in their family dynamic. I am a Therapeutic Play Practitioner (T.P.P.), and studied Trauma informed play based therapy to help children and their families heal from a traumatic experience. My office/play room is a safe place for children and youth to express and process their difficult emotions.
My work and research focused on the impacts of sexual assault and child sexual abuse. I utilize Child Centered Play Based therapy to help children and their families heal from the traumas of interpersonal violence.
I provide Parent Child Interaction therapy (PCIT) an evidienced based approach to help parents and children strengthen their relationship.
My own journey and lived experiences has guided me to become passionate about the work that I do, I am the person I needed as a child. There is no judgement, no shame, you will not walk this path alone. Reaching out for help is the first step towards healing and living the life you were meant to live.
