It can sometimes feel like being a young person is harder than ever in today’s world. Cyberbullying, mental health, gender and sexuality, body image, suicide rates, eating disorders, family breakdown and substance use are among the challenges teens and young adults often have to deal with. These are in addition to school work, dating, and friends. My role is to support and guide you while working to overcome the challenges you face. I aim to provide a caring and trusting space where you can share whatever you want and feel understood. We can work together to help you better cope with your experiences and emotions.
I use a blend of approaches in therapy, such as strengths-based and harm-reduction, and tailor them to fit your unique needs. My experience has included working as a therapist in St. Michael’s Hospital and Credit Valley Hospital, as well as child and adolescent agencies. These experiences have been with diverse and sometimes marginalized groups.
I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto, and also a Bachelor of Arts graduate from McGill University. I look forward to hearing from you!
