Have you felt unseen, unheard, invisible? Do you feel too much, too loud, too big, too emotional, or too WEIRD? Do you feel stuck, overwhelmed, in crisis, unsure of the path to take? I'm Steph with Walking the Path Counselling, I'm happy and grateful you have found me. I am passionate about supporting clients in life transitions from birth to death, working with people feeling stuck (anxiety, depression, identity issues, stress, anger, trauma), grief and loss (including anticipatory grief and parents mourning the death of their child), perinatal mental health (loss, trauma, infertility, abortion, postpartum) and parenting support.
At Walking the Path Counselling, I believe that every individual has the potential to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. It is an honour and a privilege to help people connect with intention, to grow in awareness, to become more engaged with being alive, to become more empowered in their own lives and to explore meaning, purpose and creativity.
Entering into therapy can be a daunting, vulnerable and scary experience. Finding a safe and supportive relationship with someone you want to spend time with is necessary to grow, change and heal. I embody genuine, honest, authentic, humorous, non-judgmental connection, holding space to explore, practice and take risks within the safety of our relationship.
