I am a certified Registered Counselling Therapist working with individual clients, couples and families of all ages, from five years of age onward. I work with people struggling with a range of issues, recognizing that each stage of life presents with it unique obstacles and joys. I employ play, creativity and the client's interests to create a non-threatening, respectful counselling environment. My mandate is to support each client as they take stock of their capabilities, face their challenges, and courageously step toward the changes they want to make happen in their lives.
Using a variety of counselling modalities, I work with clients using their personal strengths as a foundation for growth. As well as traditional talk therapy, my artistic background allows me to employ arts-based, expressive and experiential methods with clients interested in making and doing as part of their counselling process.
Key to my way of working is creating a supportive and safe environment for people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and ways of knowing and being. While identifying issues and making change can be difficult, I am available to support you and those you care about as you navigate the challenges that contemporary life presents you with.
