When living with complex illness it is important to understand the dynamic relationship between physical and mental health. Counselling can support people managing a new diagnosis, navigating life transitions, or struggling in relationships. It provides time and space to prioritize personal wellbeing with compassionate guidance. I am trained in EMDR- a trauma therapy- and specialize in supporting people with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, neurodiversity, and complex health concerns. I use skills from DBT and nervous system regulation to help you cope with stress and self-advocate effectively.
I support the individual changes you choose to help you live with more ease in your day-to-day. I use an inclusive, harm reduction, health at every size approach to provide care for folks facing the convergence of illness/pain, disability, trauma, substance use, identity & relationships. I use a compassion-focused, DBT-informed approach alongside EMDR.
I understand through story & care deeply about personal expression. I believe in the power of relationships to help transform suffering & that finding the therapist that works with you is really important.
