If you are in the process of seeking counseling, I suspect it can be for any number of reasons or combination of reasons (stress, mood issues, current or historic family issues, past or current trauma, job related issues, personality conflicts, self esteem issues, simply wanting perspective in life, all sorts of other issues that would generally contribute to one simply feeling discontent or unhappy in life). During times like these, it is often helpful to have a person that is dedicated to helping you explore these issues in a caring and collaborative manner and in a manner based on experience and evidence based practice.
I graduated with my degree in social work in 1991 and have been working as a therapist since that time. I initially worked with at risk youth, then began a general practice that included work doing individual therapy with both adults and youth and also couple counselling. Since 2007, I have been working with members of the Canadian Armed forces.
