Sööma is a clinical practice that specializes in treatment eating disorders and other mental health conditions. Our approach is rooted in compassion, inclusivity, and evidence-based care, with a focus on helping clients build a more balanced and meaningful relationship with themselves and others. We offer both in person psychotherapy at our two locations in Montreal and virtual psychotherapy options at a reduced rate for adults (18+) across Québec and Ontario. We currently have immediate availability with Sana Ilyas, a supervised therapist completing her clinical hours toward registration as a licensed psychologist in Ontario.
Sana brings over five years of experience providing psychological care and has previously worked as a psychologist abroad. She offers a warm, culturally responsive, and collaborative space for exploration. Sana has training in eating disorders, trauma-informed therapy, crisis intervention and approaches such as REBT, DBT, ACT and narrative therapy.
She supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-harm, life transitions, body image concerns, and the emotional and relational challenges of adult ADHD. She is passionate about working with South Asian, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities, offering therapy in English, Hindi, or Urdu to meet clients in the language that feels most authentic.
