Sonia Smith, M.Ed. is a Counselling and Forensic Psychologist (Candidate Register) with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology. She has a special interest in working with clients who struggle with managing their sexual interests and/or behaviours. Sonia also offers psychological assessments and is specialized in forensic risk assessment.
Sonia attended the Equine Assisted Mental Health Practitioner program at the University of Denver and now offers counselling in an equine environment. This counselling technique can be of benefit for clients who like services that include horses in a more natural setting, as well as those who may not enjoy or be responsive to traditional talk therapy.
