I'm one of the few therapists in Ottawa that is a certified Sex Addiction Therapist trained by the foremost leader in the field, Dr. Patrick Carnes. The people that come into my office are addicts, partners of addicts, couples and family members who are suffering from the consequences of addictions (sex and/or love addiction, drugs, alcohol and process addictions which sometimes interact with one another or are combined). I offer long term counselling in order to help the person achieve and maintain sobriety. After a certain time in recovery, the focus of therapy is on addressing underlying issues such as: past trauma, emotional deregulation, codependency, grief, family of origin issues, anxiety, lack of trust and low self-esteem.
For over 20 years, I've been drawn to working with people that come from all walks of life. My approach is non-judgemental. Not only can I put myself in your shoes, I will assist and guide you through your healing journey with compassion, knowledge and professionalism.
