"Just like adults, children also experience a full range of human emotions such as anxiety or depression & are equally impacted by their environment, such as divorce, parental conflict, abuse or school issues. Unlike adults, children express their feelings using behaviours instead of words. Depending upon the age of the child, behaviours can range from acting out, defiance, inability to control anger, depression, self harm, etc. Regardless of age, children want and need to be heard. I accomplish this using age appropriate therapies such as art, play, sandbox, and talk therapy to explore what is causing them distress, and to create well-being."

" If you're reading this, you're probably struggling with something & looking for help. You may be missing the spark you used to have, or you're tired, & feel like you can't cope. Do you worry a lot, or get anxious for no obvious reason? Would you rather stay home than go out with friends? Perhaps you're not sleeping well, & you're so tired that you have no motivation to do anything. Does any of this sound like you? Help is available. Many people feel like that from time to time, but if it's persisting, then you've come to the right place. "

Sleep or Insomnia Counsellors
What is a Sleep Disorder or Insomnia?

Almost everyone goes through bouts of sleeplessness in K2K from time to time. Chronic insomnia, however, is marked by difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, or waking up too early. If it takes you thirty minutes or more to fall asleep, or you're awake for thirty minutes or more during the night at least three times a week-for a month or more-you're likely suffering from insomnia.

Insomnia has major effects on mood as well as alertness. It is also a classic symptom of depression.

The most effective treatments for chronic insomnia are behavioral techniques that eliminate sleep anxiety and allow the body's own sleep cycle to kick in. It may require as little as doing nothing. But Sleep specialists in K2K or counsellors who specialise in sleep in K2K, or simply a K2K sleep counsellor, can help. Likewise, insomnia specialists in K2K or counsellors who specialise in insomnia in K2K, or simply a K2K insomnia counsellor, can help.

Sleep disorders may include sleep apnea, narcolepsy or simply chronic snoring.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in K2K are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counsellor in K2K you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counselling or couples counselling in K2K and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counselling in K2K or family therapy in K2K.
