"ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS. I have moved my office to Kanata and am accepting new clients. Do you struggle with anxiety and/or depression? Is stress overwhelming you? Are you having problems in your relationship? Have you lost someone you love? Do health issues dictate what you can or can't do on a daily basis? As a clinical psychologist, I have been working with individual adults and couples for almost 20 years to resolve these and other issues. I am an empathic listener, but I also help clients to understand how the mind works, develop better coping and communication skills, and improve resiliency and functioning."

Sleep or Insomnia Counsellors
What is a Sleep Disorder or Insomnia?

Almost everyone goes through bouts of sleeplessness in K2K from time to time. Chronic insomnia, however, is marked by difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, or waking up too early. If it takes you thirty minutes or more to fall asleep, or you're awake for thirty minutes or more during the night at least three times a week-for a month or more-you're likely suffering from insomnia.

Insomnia has major effects on mood as well as alertness. It is also a classic symptom of depression.

The most effective treatments for chronic insomnia are behavioral techniques that eliminate sleep anxiety and allow the body's own sleep cycle to kick in. It may require as little as doing nothing. But Sleep specialists in K2K or counsellors who specialise in sleep in K2K, or simply a K2K sleep counsellor, can help. Likewise, insomnia specialists in K2K or counsellors who specialise in insomnia in K2K, or simply a K2K insomnia counsellor, can help.

Sleep disorders may include sleep apnea, narcolepsy or simply chronic snoring.

How can I tell if a therapist is right for me?
Therapists in K2K are able to work with a wide range of issues.

For example, if you're seeking a marriage counsellor in K2K you'll find that most therapists are trained in marriage counselling or couples counselling in K2K and couples therapy. And they welcome families for family counselling in K2K or family therapy in K2K.
