So I want to help you process those past hurts so that you can get back to living the life you want. I provide therapy to people of all cultures, faiths, genders, and sexual orientations, valuing each person’s unique experiences.

The most impactful patterns are the ones we can’t see. The ones that have been normalised since childhood. They are in the way we love & fight, the partners we choose, the friendships we uphold and the boundaries we find difficult to set. Some of us don’t even see these patterns in our lifetime. We do not notice because it has been our normal for so long. Trauma often goes unidentified because it is disguised as family traditions, cultural expectations or love languages. If you’re struggling, I hear you. It’s tough, and therapy isn’t about pretending it’s not. Healing & breaking cycles would require us to first see these patterns.

Humans are social animals; our brains are built for connection. We crave safe relationships to support us to feel, heal, deal, and grow. We all want to be the best version of ourselves, we just may not know what our best self looks like, or, may lack the support and experience required to discover such. When we are supported to identify and address the unmet needs that may block us from feeling like 'our best', we gain a greater sense of self. By understanding the impact of our relationships, attachments, and environments, we are able to truly make sense of the choices we make, and actions we may - or may not - take.

I’m Hazel Erika Diaz, a Filipina immigrant and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I know what it’s like to give so much to others at work, in relationships, or within your family; while quietly wondering, “But who really sees me?” Maybe you’re in your early 20s, figuring out who you are and what you want from life. Or maybe you’re in a later chapter; building a career, raising a family, or caring for others, and realizing you’ve lost touch with the parts of you that once felt alive and certain. Whether it show up as overthinking, people-pleasing, burnout, or a quiet sense of “not enough,” you’re longing for more than coping.

While stress, anxiety, sadness, health problems, and relationship conflicts are a common part of life, if they're interfering with work, school, family, relationships, or other areas of your life that are important to you, you may benefit from therapy. My clients experience a range of difficulties from anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, depression, substance or impulse control issues, chronic pain or health problems, and high-conflict relationships. The thing they all have in common is they feel like their emotions, behaviours, or past experiences have prevented them from living the fullest, most meaningful life possible.

My heart is with parents of children who are struggling because one thing that I know for sure is that if we are no ok, our kids don't stand a chance. Learning and understanding the feelings, emotions and thoughts that arise can be so difficult and so confusing especially in the parenting arena. Renegotiating your parenting relationship as your child grows is something that can expose many negative core beliefs, "triggers" or buried emotions. Looking at those emotions, feeling them and processing them is something that through therapy has been deeply beneficial and can allow you to show up as the parent and person you wish to be.
