I have worked extensively with Blacks, Indigenous, and Persons of Color (BIPOC) on anxiety, depression, ADHD, marital/ relationship, parent/teen conflict, life transition, racism, workplace conflict, sexuality, and immigration problems.
Life is hard to navigate and it’s even harder to navigate life feeling stuck, hopeless, and overwhelmed with anxiety, depression, persistent financial issues, and stress. You are not defined by the problems affecting you. I belief that with the right support, you have the strength to resolve these problems. With personal and professional experience and training in CBT and DBT, I will work with you to set goals and to provide you with the tools you need to begin to understand and overcome your problems. Reaching out for help can be intimidating and scary. I want you to know that you are not alone. Reach out today.

I aim to foster resilience through strong therapeutic relationships, offering a compassionate and empowering space for healing, self-discovery, and meaningful growth.
Before becoming a counsellor, I ran a wellness business specializing in Reflexology and Reiki. This experience strengthened my ability to offer support, lead workshops, and collaborate with holistic providers. It also deepened my understanding of how trauma can manifest in the body and how energy healing supports emotional release and balance.

Your partner keeps telling you, "you should see someone
That's why my approach is different. I'll show you different ways of handling moments when you're under pressure. We start by getting specific. The drive home, the dinner table, the moment your boss gets under your skin. We figure out what's setting you off & make a plan. We keep adjusting until the blow ups stop and that feeling of being on edge is gone.

As seasons in our lives bring forth change, my desire is to shed light for individuals, couples and families navigating shifts along life's journey, be they anticipated or those occurring unexpectedly.
Having worked in diverse settings and cultures over the years, I'm familiar with the importance of learning to adapt amid the ever changing nature of life. Such shifts may include those we deem seemingly insignificant or those that upend lives. I hope to provide insight, while drawing upon individuals' strengths as they journey respectively.

I work with individuals of all ages, including children, couples and families.
I have been a licensed social worker for nearly 20 years. I believe we are in control of our of own lives but sometimes we need a little guidance to get to where we want to be. I am authentic, compassionate and truly enjoy working with people. I am able to assist my clients through a variety of challenges they may be facing. I believe that one’s past has influenced the present but does not define your future. Our life experiences, positive or negative, are building blocks for who we are today and can be effective tools in creating who we aspire to be tomorrow.

You are the expert in your own story and lived experience. I will work with you as a therapist, and you shall guide the ship. We all have skills, tools, and resilience that we can draw upon; sometimes, we just need to be reminded of these. As humans, we are continually learning, growing and healing and this happens from the cradle to the grave. It is never too late to start, begin again or reset and change your path or life story. As a registered Social Worker and therapist in Saskatchewan I have had the privilege of working with diverse individuals, couples and families, guiding them with empathy and respect.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
